We offer 2 options for Dog Friendly rooms, thoughtfully designed to ensure your dog feels as pampered as you feel.  If you are staying in the spacious, ground level Cottage, your dog will have his own fenced yard and patio!  The Topa, our pet-friendly room #1, is located upstairs in the main house and has a balcony.

Pet Amenities
At Lavender Inn, your dog will get VIP, Very Important Pet, treatment!  We offer pet amenities to ensure your dog’s comfort including a cozy dog bed, water & food bowls, poop bags, an extra sheet in case your dog sleeps on the bed with you, and, of course, dog treats.

Pet Friendly Town
Ojai is not just a town for tourists, but also a town friendly for traveling dogs.   Dogs are welcomed around town with water bowls at many businesses. Walking around the village, you will see dogs resting at their owners’ feet while dining at one of the numerous outside restaurant patios.  As you cannot leave your dog in the room at Lavender Inn, he/she will be happy to go with you to lunch and dinner at many of our dog-friendly restaurants.  In the mornings you can enjoy Continental Breakfast on the veranda with your pup. Directly through the Arcade then across the street is Libby Park, an ideal park for your dog to walk and  play.  For those who love outdoor adventures, Ojai’s dog-friendly parks and hiking trails are conveniently located nearby, making it easy to explore the natural beauty of the area together.  Whether you want to treat your dog or forgot to bring an item from home, Watchers Hay and Grain is a shop a block away from Lavender Inn.  It provides a huge variety of supplies for an assortment of pets.

Pets at the Lavender Inn
When you visit Lavender Inn, you will meet our resident animals.  Our long-haired dachshund ,sweet Buddy, manages the office.  Occasionally he is accompanied by another dachshund, petite June Carter Cash.   Our outdoor cats are exceptionally popular with guests, both previously feral and now very guest-loving.  Shiny black Mister resides in the backyard, lazily guarding the veranda.  Oreo was black & white but now the black is a sun-bleached orange.  He looks a bit sickly, but we regularly take him to the vet and give him attention.  The cats do a disappearing act when visiting pets arrive, and the 2 dogs are chill with all 4-legged visitors.
