When is breakfast served?

Freshly brewed coffee is offered by 8:15 and breakfast is 8:30-9:30.

What is your cancellation policy?

We have a 7-day cancellation policy to receive a full refund.  Due to our intimate size (and other medium to small accommodations in Ojai), a last minute cancellation affects us greatly.  Please understand we must maintain a firm cancellation policy.  The Lavender Inn cannot be financially responsible for cancellations due to  Force Majeure.  We prefer cancellations via email so we both have a record of the cancellation.

Can a group of us book online?

No.  Groups need to call Beth at 805-636-6635 to reserve. Group reservations require a nonrefundable deposit to book.

Do we have WIFI?

Yes, free of course!

Are all rooms upstairs?

Rooms 1-7 are upstairs in the Main House, but the Cottage is on the ground floor with direct access to parking. We are planning more cottage type rooms on ground level across the parking lot.

Restaurants – We love soooo many restaurants in Ojai; they are all so unique! But, here you go, some of our favs: Nocciola, Osteria Monte Grappa, the Nest, Boccali’s, Rory’s, the Duchess, Hip Vegan, Ca’ Marco Ojai Roti, Papa Lennon’s in Miners Oaks and more!!! Call us if you want more detail – we’re happy to help!

What is your Pet Policy?

We love dogs! We allow one dog in the Topa Room (#1) and 2 in the Cottage (private back yard). We require you to be with your dog at all times. $50 dog fee per pet/per stay. Service dogs are free but must show their certificate.

How much do you charge for weddings?

We have detailed info regarding our weddings. Call Beth at 805-646-6635 for the wedding info letter and/or a tour.

Do you allow children?

We love kids! Age 12 and up are welcomed upstairs in the main house. The Cottage is ideal for a family with younger kids (or any age) as there is a private small yard in addition to the larger garden through the Cottage gate. We are 1 block from Libbey Park which has a creative, fun playground.

What are the cats’ names?

The backyard black cat is Mister. He loves hanging around people. The black and white cat, which is commonly outside the office, is named Oreo. They are both very popular with our guests.

Hairdryer?

We have a hairdryer in every bathroom.

Iron?

We have an iron and ironing boards for your use – in the Cottage and also upstairs in the main house, down the hall and around the corner .

Parking lot?

Yes, with a handicap space as well.  Once you park at Lavender Inn, you can walk most anywhere in town!

What about your cooking classes?

When Covid started, we postponed the Ojai Culinary School cooking classes for obvious reasons. We have not reinstated them because we feel that the closeness of sitting around the cooking island, the touching and tasting is too vulnerable. The chefs and artisanal cooking instructors are waiting as well to get back to work. When we restart the cooking classes, we will send out a newsletter, so be sure to sign up on the bottom of the home page if you are interested. No need to call the Inn to inquire.

Do you still have your free cancer retreats?

InnCourage, our cancer retreat for underserved women was cancelled since Covid. Our complimentary 3 day retreats consisted of women undergoing treatment which made them medically susceptible which we didn’t want to risk.

What if we want to leave a tip?

Leaving a gratuity is not required. However, doing so lets your Innkeeper know that you truly enjoyed your service, and appreciated her exceptional attention to detail.

If we rent the whole house, can we use the kitchen?

Because of our insurance, our guests are NOT allowed to have use of the kitchen. We serve Continental Breakfast and we have restaurants conveniently located across the street.

Luggage

Sorry, we do not have luggage service.
