Lavender Inn is one of Ojai’s most cherished wedding venues with the historical 150 year old building and the “boutique chic” garden setting. Whether you have a small or a large Garden Wedding, we can help you customize it to make your dreams come true.
Lavender Inn can accommodate up to 100 guests for your wedding ceremony and reception. The entire inn, the Cottage/Bridal Suite and the seven guest rooms will exclusively be yours during the stay. Weekend bookings have a two-night stay requirement while a weekday wedding can be a one day rental though we recommend at least a two day stay to ensure that you and your guests spend quality time together and aren’t rushed. The atmosphere of celebrating your family and closest friends being together has been noted to make your Wedding Story “laid-back excitement and anticipation”. Beth, the Wedding Coordinator, blocks out your event and holds the rooms for the guests you have selected to stay.
Numerous couples choose to come to the Lavender Inn a few days prior to their celebration, extending the planning, getting ready, and making more memories. The intimate 1874 boutique inn is just steps from Ojai’s shops restaurants, and breweries so your guests have options to do on their ‘off’ times’ of the weekend wedding celebration. The day before the wedding indulge in a couples massage in our Garden Massage Gazebo or in the Cottage in front of the fireplace. In the later afternoon the wedding party can sip on wine prior to your rehearsal. After the ceremony rehearsal, wander across the street to a rehearsal dinner at one of the amazing restaurants. In the mornings we offer a delicious Continental Breakfast so you and your guests won’t have to worry about going out for coffee and breakfast. The ceremony can take place under one of the two garden arches with the tables and chairs set up on the opposite side of the gardens. The post ceremony cocktail hour continues in the back, while the wedding party takes photos in the front of Lavender Inn in the picture perfect English gardens. After the reception, the wedding celebration can continue at one of the bars across the street – you don’t have to get in a car and drive.

Just the Two of Us
Elopement or Vow Renewal
Whether you want to exchange vows in the larger gardens or elope just in the small, private Cottage Garden, we can make help make your special day magical. You and your partner can make your union official under a shaded oak tree or two different arches, surrounded by colorful flowers and greenery. Following your private ceremony you can pre-arrange a customized dinner. Elopements include a night in our spacious, beautifully designed Cottage with complimentary champagne and strawberries .
SUNDAY WEDDING SPECIAL
For those who prefer a small intimate Ojai Wedding with guests who are only staying at Lavender Inn, we have reduced rates for our venue. The bride and groom and your guests are required to stay only Sunday night, but of course you can also book other nights prior to the wedding. $3500 site fee + the cost of the rooms
